What Is “Lights Out Machining?”

Lights out machining is a technique or methodology used by manufacturers. It refers to automated processes and machinery functions that require minimal human input to operate. Because the automated processes don’t need human oversight or control, they continue outside of business hours and even overnight; hence the term “lights out.”

Kremin Inc Now Holds a AS9100 Certification

Kremin Inc has achieved AS9100 certification for its manufacturing facility located in Frankenmuth, MI.  This is in addition to the ISO 9001:2015 and the ISO 13485:2016 certifications the company already holds. The AS9100 standard fully incorporates the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 in addition to adding new requirements specific to the highly regulated aerospace and defense industry.

Here at China Precision Parts Inc, we machine thousands of different parts throughout the year. Each part presents its own unique challenges (see: opportunities). The challenges of parts range from logistics, dimensional issues, chip removal, to packaging.
